Real-Time Medical Data Monitor & Transmitter


Marine Medical International is proud to announce its Vital Partner alliance with Telemedics and their VitalLink ® 1200 diagnostic unit. Our telemedical service, Maritime Health Services (MHS), receives the data sent from this device directly from the patient on the vessel to the attending physician at MHS.

Key situations for the use of this unit would be in a constant monitoring environment, such as a cardiac or diver recompression scenario. Our staff will help install and instruct your crew in the use of this very user-friendly device.

Some Details on the VitalLink 1200:

  • Small, self-contained medical unit, with ancillary medical sensors that measures vital signs.
  • Medical sensors that measure heart rhythm (ECG), blood pressure (NIBP), blood oxygen (SPO2), temperature and pulse.
  • The medical unit transmits and display, in real-time, medical vital signs data over analogue wire line and Advanced Mobile Phone System (AMPS) wireless transmission circuits and Global Satellite Systems (GSM) for mobile communication. The unit can be interfaced with Integrated Switched Digital Networks (ISDN) and Cellular Digital Packet Data (CDPD), and Code Division Multiple Access (CDMA IS-95a) where available Wireless link to a nearby Patient Display Unit (PDU).
  • VitalSoft ® proprietary software.
  • Patient Display Unit (PDU) which, using VitalSoft ® monitoring software, receives the data from the medical unit, displays it on screen and transmits it to the remote 24/7 monitoring center for review and assessment by the doctor.
VitalLink ® 1200 unit, the first generation remote medical monitoring product, is manufactured from components and medical technologies sourced from medical device manufacturers and strategic partners who have already obtained regulatory approval from the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
